What We Do

Everyone experiences unemployment, financial hardship, or family problems & difficulties at some point in their lives. At CCMV we work with & are funded by DHS to assist individuals & families to overcome this burden by offering emergency and ongoing food relief, as well as other practical help, to anyone who needs it - no matter their religious, cultural or personal background.

Whether it's short term or ongoing support you need, we're here to help you through this difficult period. We are very grateful to our contributors of food and our financial supporters, we could not do this without them!

Food Parcels

CCMV hands out over 100 food parcels per week, supporting over 30 individuals and families who are doing it tough. If you have a Health Care Card you can visit our premises in Epping on Thursday's to receive your parcel.
Food parcels contain a variety of fresh fruit & vegetables, frozen meals and pantry items & vary weekly depending on donations we have received.
Our food parcels are tailored so people have a choice of foods. This minimizes waste; it's no good giving people food they don't like or eat.

Hospitals & DHS

In addition to our weekly food parcels,
CCMV work with DHS, as well as various hospitals and community groups around Melbourne to offer food parcels and emergency assistance to specific individuals and families referred by government departments. The majority of people we assist come to us through these channels.

Household items

CCMV offers other types of practical & personalised assistance in the way of personal hygiene & toiletry products, blankets, pillows, bedding, mattresses, furniture and household items (when we have them), Telstra Certificates (when available) as well as counselling upon request to anyone who needs it.

Our
Supporters

There are various people and companies who help us to help those in need in our local community. CCMV is extremely grateful to these companies and organisations who contribute food or funds to help us deliver vital community support initiatives to families throughout Melbourne.
